The Brother’s Grimm – Penguin/Puffin book competition

I don’t often put work on here that isn’t finished, but I wanted to share with you something that I’m working on at the moment. Sometimes it’s good to see how work progresses through different permutations… no?

This is my first draft of a cover for Grimm’s Fairy Tales. It’s a competition for Penguin/Puffin books. When I read fairy tales they are often so exciting that they literally jump out of the book. I’ve taken that idea quite literally to create characters emerging from the book. I also like the idea of the inside of the book featuring on the outside.

Anyway, to quote Mike Wazowksi, “It’s a work in progress…”
